Therapy Groups
The Child Development Clinic offer a range of evidence-based group therapy programs for children and adolescents which are run throughout school term and holidays. Groups are a great opportunity for your child to meet same-aged peers with similar challenges, and provide a unique opportunity for children to practice skills learnt in a safe and fun environment. TERM 4, 2024 ProgramsSocial Skills:
Stop Think Do (8 - 10 years) REGISTER YOUR INTEREST FOR TERM 4, 2024 IN FORM BELOW! Time: Nine weekly sessions 4:30pm - 5:30pm on Mondays starting 28th October and ending December 16th, 2024 Location: 3/66 Clarence Street, Sydney, 2000 Cost: $850 (for 9 session program) paid upfront, includes afternoon tea each week. Numbers: 6 children in group (Numbers strictly limited!) Program overview: The STOP.THINK.DO. program was developed by a clinical psychologist and is an Australian social skills program for children who have difficulties making and keeping friends. STOP.THINK.DO. develops emotional and social intelligence in children as they learn to understand and control their feelings at STOP, THINK about their options and likely consequences, and behave appropriately at DO. The program focusses on how to use these skills in social situations. The program will be facilitated by two experienced provisional psychologists under the supervision of a clinical psychologist. Program overview: Our Take Action anxiety management group is specially tailored for children facing anxiety or excessive worries. This evidence-based group program is designed to empower children to proactively address anxiety in a child-friendly and supportive environment. We focus on equipping participants with essential skills to foster confidence, resilience, and happiness.
